Sugar is bad for your brain! Researchers have found that high levels of fructose can disrupt insulin signalling in the brain, leading to cognitive defects and poor short-term memory.
However, omega-3 fatty acids can counteract the harmful effects of fructose. These good fats are found in good measure in flax seeds, fish oil and walnuts.
